Nova
is a free Integrated Observational Environment for astronomers.
It combines an Ephemeris functionality with the capability of controlling
modern "goto" telescopes and popular CCD cameras. In other words, you will
be able to point at an astronomical object on your computer screen and Nova
will move your telescope to it and optionally take an image of it. It will
manage several kinds of astronomical databases (GSC, USNO, etc.) and
automatically schedule the observation activity through the setup of
"batch" programs. It will also set up the WCS coordinates conversion and
their saving in FITS format.
